Mixed diamond cloth/non-woven flap wheels
Mixed flap wheels are joining Sorma's product lineup and they will be officially featured in the 2026 Catalog launching this September at Marmomac in Verona.
Sorma's new mixed flap wheels are engineered with an alternating design of diamond cloth flaps and non-woven fabric flaps and are self-dressing. This unique construction provides exceptional versatility for a wide array of operations, including deburring, finishing, and sanding across various materials. Their remarkable flexibility allows them to adapt to diverse workpiece geometries.
These wheels deliver excellent results on stone and glass, and are particularly effective for the finishing of carbide components surfaces or HVOF-coated surfaces. The diamond cloth ensures superior durability compared to conventional wheels, offering high abrasive capacity and an enhanced finish.
Equipped with a 6 mm shank, Sorma's mixed flap wheels are designed for use with air grinders featuring a collet chuck. They are available in two sizes: Ø30 x 20 mm and Ø60 x 30 mm, and come in a range of grits: #120, #200, #400 as standards, while grits #60 and #600 are upon request.
