Alberico Sorgato and Zoe Marano establish the company in Venice

1960

Exclusive distribution begins in Italy of diamond tools from the UK

1978

Collaboration with Yamawa begins, for the distribution of Japanese tools in Italy

1980

Sorma is the first to introduce diamond cloth to Italy

1992

Distribution of Kyocera cutting tools in Italy begins

1998

The company becomes Yamawa’s “European Stock Center”

2001

Osawa’s integrated tool line for drilling and milling is launched

2006

Nikko Tools’ system brand for mechanical fastening is launched

2010

Collaboration gets underway with the German company, Kemmer, for distribution in Italy

2015

Sorma becomes the Italian distributor for LMT Tools (Kieninger, Fette, Belin, Onsrud)

2016

Yamawa Europe S.p.A. is established of the Sorma-Yamawa collaboration

2017

The new, 4000 m² Logistics Centre in Marcon (VE) is inaugurated
