The diamond honing tools are capable of producing geometrically accurate holes with controlled surface finishes. The Sorma's Alesa consist of a diamond spiral sleeve, mounted on a conical spindle, which allows a very accurate adjustment of the final diameter of the tool. Thanks to its rigidity and to the particular construction of the tool it is possible to correct the geometrical hole errors made from by the previous process.
