The FinishPro milling system is the most suitable and versatile solution for machining hardened steel in the mold & die industry and it is designed for guaranteeing excellent surface finishing, the highest reliability in complex tasks, and exceptional tool life.

The new Sorma system for contouring and milling features:

• The maximum precision, thanks to the high precision seating of the ground insert and the high rigidity of the clamping
• Excellent surface finishing, including in the contouring of complex profiles and extremely light cutting action that minimizes chatter thanks to the specific geometry of the cutting edge
• Exceptional tool life, due to a high-quality substrate combined to the advanced coating technology
• The high compatibility and versatility, because of the two insert types - ball nose and corner radius - can share the same shanks

Two different types of inserts are available: the ball nose NBN type with S-shaped cutting edge suitable for all copying tasks looking for excellent surface finishing, and the NCR corner radius insert with General Purpose geometry (GP) optimized for super finishing of profiles. The two grades available (JP1515 and JP1525) allow machining on a medium-to-hard range of hardness from 40 to 62 HRC, thus meeting most of the machining needs of the mold and die industry.
