Sorma, industry leader in the diamond tools market, is presenting its new line of polishing discs, Diahard XT3, at Marmomac 2018, Hall 7, Stand D8. This line now makes it possible to finish marble, granite, porcelain stoneware and agglomerates - including the new high-technology materials - in just 3 steps.
Three colours on the back of the discs denote the 3 members of this product family: black for the first step in which most material is removed, yellow for the intermediate step and white for the third, polishing step. A 3-step process offers substantial savings in production times and a considerably reduced need for warehouse stocks.
Another key feature of the Sorma XT3 line also leads to a further reduction in stock requirements: these products can be used for both wet and dry finishing, and are therefore extremely versatile.
Moreover, while the back of the Velcro discs is coloured to facilitate identification, the front part that comes into contact with the material is neutral - between white and light grey - to exclude the slightest possibility that the tool could discolour even the lightest-coloured stone.
The XT3 line is particularly recommended for working flat surfaces, in combination with the Sorma A100V aluminium backing plate which ensures a flat working action and perfectly even results when creating chamfers.
«Superior quality and a high diamond concentration have always been the distinctive features of Sorma stone-working products, and this product family is no exception – says Riccardo Galluzzi, General Manager of the Sorma Diamond Tools business unit - On the back of the positive customer feedback that we receive every day regarding our Diahard range we’ve decided to take an extra step towards making the tool even more practical and versatile. On the one hand we’re extremely curious to see the market’s reaction to this innovation, while on the other we know that we’ve worked very well to achieve the best possible quality standards.»
The first launch phase for the new Diahard XT3 product family will include a promotional presentation at Marmomac Verona, Hall 7, Stand D8.
