Beyond Ceramics

Kyocera was founded in Japan in 1959. Its name is the combination of the city of origin, Kyoto, and the word Ceramics: since its foundation, in fact, the company has specialised in the production and development of ceramic materials and its by-products becoming the global reference point in these technologies . Its CERATIP division, specialised in cutting tools, was founded in 1975 and quickly established itself as one of the world leaders in this sector.
